Our Ethos and History
Simply Theatre Academy was founded in Geneva in 2005.
Our Mission is to Enrich Lives and Brighten Futures through theatre and education and after more than 15 years we have seen how Simply Theatre has the power to do this.
The Montessori principles of education for life are at the heart of our approach and Simply Theatre’s values:

We believe in sharing our PASSIONS with our students from a very young age. In the earliest years of our lives our personalities are being shaped, absorbing all of the influences in the environment around us, both the tangible and the intangible
and pointing us in the direction of the person we are to become when we reach adulthood. And so, we place great importance on the work we do with even the youngest of our students.
A rehearsal room and theatre run to PROFESSIONAL standards promotes values of equality, safety, respect, listening and co-operation, and is key to allowing the individual to develop to their full potential. Endowing and treating our students as PROFESSIONALS leads to much higher development rates and enthusiasm.
We NURTURE the individual throughout their life, from early childhood into adulthood, offering them the best of ourselves, creating as many opportunities for positive learning experiences; and caring that each individual develops towards their own potential as a rounded human being.
We create MAGIC. We care about the potential of every individual to share acts of collective imagination. We offer experiences which are inspiring, different, challenging and surprising. We aspire to help our students develop their creative and imaginative potential to realise their dreams.
